Our Customer Services Department is open from 9:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday. Our
Examiners Department is open from 9:30 to 7:00.

When are Sample Papers and Paper orders sent out?
We do not have an exact date each year. We always aim to have samples available to schools pre-Christmas and aim to begin sending out orders after Christmas.

Postage is free for all orders received via our website.
Postage of corrected scripts back to schools is free for orders received via our website providing payment in full has been received within 10 days.
How do we send out orders / corrections?
We use An Post to deliver exam papers and stationery (
www.anpost.com). Please allow 2 days for delivery from the dispatch date.
Do you offer papers in a certain subject?
We only offer what is on our order forms.
Do you do practical papers?
Yes, LC Art and Technical subjects (wood, metal, construction etc.).
Do your papers reflect the changes in subject syllabi?
Yes, if the syllabus has changed in any subject, our papers will reflect these changes.
Do you keep past papers for distribution?
We do not distribute hard copies of past papers, however, our past papers can be accessed online in the “My Exam Centre” tab of your personal DEB Exams online account.
Do you produce Alternative Papers?
We produce 2 options for most Junior Certificate subjects.
Do you produce papers in Irish?
No.
Can I get a specific sample paper?
Yes, you can register with us on
www.debexams.ie and once approved you can view specific sample papers.
Can I get a sample marking scheme?
We do not provide samples of marking schemes. Marking schemes are provided once exam papers are ordered.
Can I get a sample of a CD/Video/DVD?
No, we don't send samples of these. They are available when papers are ordered.
How can I order?
- Orders can be placed through our website www.debexams.ie. Free postage applies for orders processed online. (Some Terms & Conditions may apply)
- We also take orders by phone, fax or post.
Can I change an order over the phone?
Only if the order has not already been packed.
Do I have to fill in the number of corrections I need? (Right hand column of Order
Form)
- If you don't know the numbers you can send in an order without the correction part
of the order filled out.
- We only charge for the number of corrections received.
Do I have to fill in my totals / costs on order form?
You don't need to fill it out but it helps both us and yourself if the totals are
filled.
Can I order a paper for my son/daughter (Home schooling)?
- No, we do not do this because, as you can imagine, that could affect the integrity
of our papers in that area.
- Can we suggest that you discuss this with the school where your son/daughter are sitting the
state exams to see if you can agree the same arrangement with them for the mock
exams.
Do you have a minimum order?
Yes, we do for papers / booklets.
I didn't receive my full order.
Unfortunately there are occasions when we are unable to ship a complete order due to stock shortages. In these instances you will receive an incomplete notice with your shipment. We record all incomplete orders and prioritise them for dispatch once our stock is replenished. If you notice any items are missing from your order and they are not listed as incomplete, please contact us immediately. We will then endeavour to ship the missing items to you the same day that we receive your query.
When will I get my order?
- We will endeavour to dispatch all orders within 5 working days from receipt.
- We will contact you to inform you of progress if it is not possible to dispatch
orders/corrections within these timeframes.

When are corrections accepted from?
Usually beginning of February (whenever schools are finished exams). Possibly earlier
on request.
When are corrections accepted until?
Beginning of April. Small numbers may be accepted after that by prior arrangement.

What is the turnaround for corrections?
- We will aim to dispatch all correction envelopes back to you within 18 working days
of receipt.
What if I am unhappy with the quality of my corrections?
- We only use qualified subject teachers as correctors.
- We also have Supervisors who review the standard of their corrections.
- Having discussed the issues with us we can get the relevant papers re-corrected
by a new corrector and fast tracked if the school has the time available for us
to do that.
Do you use students to correct your exams?
No we only use qualified subject teachers.
What payment methods are accepted?
Cheque, credit card, bank draft and postal order. For security purposes we no longer accept cash.
Do I have to pay before I receive my order?
No, you can wait to be invoiced.
Can I receive an invoice now?
Invoices are normally issued at the end of April or beginning of May. If required, special arrangements can be made to invoice schools when all papers orders and corrections are returned to the school.

In order to ensure the integrity of our exam papers prior to the mocks exams,
we must ensure that all users of our website are verified teachers.
Why do I need to input a security code to view sample papers?
In order to ensure that a teacher's account has not been compromised, we send an access code by text message to the teacher's mobile number.
